Archangle is an in-progress typeface, designed using Adobe Illustrator and Birdfont. Archangle is based on modern proportions with 50:50 x-height to cap height ratio, combined with a 25 degree stroke modulation and elongated terminals for a calligraphic feel. The arch forms are inspired by both gothic architecture and manuscript illumination. This typeface is still in progress. The future will see new ligatures in the lowercase, punctuation, and improved kerning.
